Eastern Embrace is the second book in the King's Command Series. While the first is written jointly by Stormy Glenn and Olivia Black, this one lacks Stormy's name. Or maybe an Amazon error. Despite that the story was well written. It reminded me of the Midnight Mating Series with "forced' pairings which become true matings, the struggles to overcome different species, and resulting bliss. . . With or without offspring. This series includes mpreg and offspring.

So we have Akihiro, a compassionate and caring dragon leader that becomes mated with Isei, a second son of a human leader. There is a nice mesh of opposites between the two. Like any budding relationship there are misunderstandings. Unfortunately for Akihiro the results are disastrous and he only has himself to blame. I personally felt Akihiro needed to come completely clean with Isei, admitting fault, because Isei just waved everything off too fast. That scene needed groveling. Or tears. None of this thinking to himself, Akihiro needed to verbally share!

And while Isei needed to stand up for his convictions, they still had a long ways to fix their problems. Isei needed to take up some leadership responsibilities, not just learn to defend himself. In fact that part was really odd. A pregnant guy wanting to learn knife work. I can see the meaning behind it, but so awkward. I wonder how much he's learning cause he's so limited in reach and strength let alone have the stamina to train. And of course his training partner will be careful not to harm him or his babe. Just akward. And of all things Isei's brother is still loose. That's a bad situation and yet this story is done.

I like this best so much more plot not so much the same as the 1st two books. The 1st 2book were ok but predictable. Thanks for good story
This was great outstanding I Loved it a lot I can't wait to read the next one I hope it's really soon if not I will have to go get it from bootstraps..
I had never thought that this book could make me cry. .. But it did! I have to stop and take a deep breath to stop my tears, this is a good story it will make you laugh, cry and lastly smile ...
I liked this one more than the first book. The world is more flushed out, and the secondary characters are the best.
They grab you by the heart and drag you with their hero through each step of his agony. Till you can't take anymore. Like a drugged man you turn the page hoping to find the hero victorious. These ladies leave it to the last moment, when you just can't anymore, to bring the men together for a....

The King mated Akihiro and Isei together. Isei was sent to the kings court by his brother who did not want to go. The king knew who Isei was and put him and Akihiro in charge of their people who are human and dragon. There was all kind of problems that they faced and come out stronger in their love in the end. I can not wait for the next book. Erin
What I found dumb about this is at the end when he was fighting the enemy and getting sliced up why didn't he just shift and fight in dragon form, it was like the author was intentionally making him weak and hello being invaded by humans hmm you're a dragon chomp them to death why waste time with swords just dumb
